Five Hired to Support New Business
AUSTIN, TX - OCTOBER 12, 2005
SicolaMartin today announced the agency has hired an additional five new employees, an upward trend in hiring for the firm that has persisted this year. Scott Oliphant, Megan Girard, Russell Riley, Julie Winckler and Richard De La Garza have all come on board to support the new and existing business within the firm.
Scott Oliphant joins SicolaMartin as senior interactive designer working with all the agency's clients. For over three years, Scott has served the creative team for SicolaMartin as a contractor and decided to come off the sidelines and be part of the exciting growth at the firm. Scott brings a tremendous creative flair to the agency and has already demonstrated to clients the interesting and cost effective ways of bringing the brand to life through a variety of non-traditional medium.
Megan Girard joins SicolaMartin as a senior account manager on AMD. Previously, Girard served as an account director at Stratus Communications in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania where she managed accounts, orchestrating campaigns for clients and supervised production of print, radio and TV ads. Having been with Stratus since July of 2000, Girard had worked up from an account executive position. Girard holds a bachelor of fine arts in Broadcast Communications and Film Studies from Elon University in Elon, North Carolina.
Russell Riley joins SicolaMartin as senior account manager for Sybase. From 2000, Riley served a market strategist for IBM for the small and medium business division. In that capacity, Riley was responsible for creating and implementing marketing strategies and direct marketing campaigns to drive lead generation. Riley had previously served as an analyst for the division and a market intelligence specialist for the Software Alliances Division. Riley holds a bachelors degree in business administration and marketing from Colorado State University.
Julie Winckler joins SicolaMartin as an account manager for Quark. Previously, Winckler served as an account executive at Tuerff-Davis EnviroMedia where she managed creative and staff on the Department of State Health Services account. Winckler was responsible for the development of the TV, radio, print, billboard and other aspects of the projects including timelines and budgets. Winckler also served as communication director for the Trust for a Smoke-Free Texas and worked at Niehaus Ryan Wong as an account associate. Winckler holds a bachelor of science in public relations from The University of Texas at Austin.
Richard De La Garza joins SicolaMartin to serve the firms IT Systems Helpdesk needs which have grown exponentially with the addition of new staff throughout the year. De La Garza has a broad depth and breadth of IT experience having served AISD as a technical support specialist, worked as a web developer and designer and served as a software engineer senior analyst at Dell Computer Corporation.
