SICOLAMARTIN PROMOTES, REORGANIZES EXECUTIVE LEVEL STAFF
Shift in Management Adapts to Agency Growth

AUSTIN, TX - APRIL 10, 2007 – Tom Sicola, a founding principal and CEO of Austin-based advertising and marketing agency SicolaMartin, recently announced a new lineup within the agency's executive management team. The 54-person agency, a member of the Young and Rubicam Brands network of communications companies, represents businesses in the technology and consumer categories including AMD, Sybase and Blu-ray Disc.

Sicola, formerly president and CEO, has transferred the role and responsibilities of president to co-founder Steve Martin. Sicola will remain CEO and focus on SicolaMartin's strategic direction and business development, particularly the renewed pursuit of consumer marketing and advertising accounts. Sicola will also continue to oversee the agency's social responsibility initiatives and serve as the agency's liaison with other companies within the Y&R Brands and WPP networks. Martin, formerly senior vice president and executive creative director, will continue to support creative development and oversee client-partner relationships while taking the leadership role of the company's day-to-day operations. The two men founded SicolaMartin in 1985, bringing together what has been called one of advertising's most unlikely partnerships.

Sicola and Martin were two individuals with zero capital or net worth, little in common, no particular desire to work together and little educational training for marketing or advertising. Nonetheless, their agency soon became one of the region's leading advertising and marketing agencies attracting recognized client companies such as Stop'N Go, I Can't Believe it's Yogurt, Motorola, 3M and IBM.

The reorganization includes the promotion of two senior staffers, Cherie Cox and Diane McKinnon. Both have been named senior vice president/managing partner while retaining their respective roles as head of client services (Cherie) and head of integrated marketing and creative services (Diane).

"Over the past 20 years the agency has developed some incredible talent and stellar leaders," stated Steve Martin. "Cherie started as an intern in 1990 and proved her way up through the ranks to become VP of client services. She is an amazing natural leader who in every way represents the epitome of our unique and successful "Martian" culture. Diane, who joined us as an experienced professional, quickly infused a spirit of collaborative creative leadership that has taken the agency's work to new levels of creative success. These two remarkable women are helping shape the future of SicolaMartin. Tom and I are so proud of all they've done, and in their new roles there's no limit to what we know they can accomplish."
